I will meet with the engaged couple prior to the ceremony to gather info and provide samples of ceremonies.

Officiant - I became ordained initially because a close friend wanted me to officiate her wedding. Once becoming ordained, I spent hours researching ceremony ideas/weddings etc. I wanted my friends wedding to be everything they wanted and more.
Religion - Some couples want religion incorporated into their wedding, others do not. I have done a wedding both ways. I grew up at the Community Congregational Church in Clinton Heights. I went to Sunday School there, I was the Youth Fellowship President. I taught Sunday School there! I grew up going to church camp and formed friendships that have lasted a lifetime. I am an ordained minister through Universal Life Church.
Professionally - I worked at Center for Disability Services for 26 years. I am an entrepreneur with crafting classes with my shop located in East Greenbush. I have also been volunteering at Lebanon Valley Speedway for 35+ years.
Personally - I am married to my best friend, who I met in Kindergarten. We have been married more than 25 years. As all marriages do, we had rough times, but the last few years have truly been the best and I can’t wait for the years to come. We have two grown boys, however, let’s face it, life at home revolves around our cats, yup, our cats! We like hiking, traveling and car racing. I have also been someone that has loved public speaking since I took the class in high school decades ago!
Ceremony - When it comes to a wedding ceremony, I like to get to know the couple to create a unique, unforgettable, wedding. In the best of circumstances I meet with them in person. I have a questionnaire prepared for each person in the relationship to complete. I also have a sample ceremony. Many items can be deleted, it is truly up to the couple. I also have several examples of declarations, vows, ring exchanges, giving away the bride and more. The couple is encouraged to choose what they would like. Pinterest is also a great spot to find other ideas if the couple is looking for something extra unique.
Overall, I love weddings. After planning my own, I actually thought about being a professional wedding planner! I am honored to be chosen to be this special part of someone’s beginning of their new life together as husband and wife.
